HS 200 GY Dual Sport Review

Review of my GY 200

Price Paid $500 with 14 miles on the odometer it now has 1200 miles on it.
I have road on mostly dirt roads and trials and the motorcycle has been reliable. I did make a 100 mile road trip which the GY did a fine job for a 200cc. It was comfortable and held it's own on the ride.

The cost and mantaince running the GY for the first 1200 miles

motor oil kawasaki 10w40 $6.00 x2
lubes
bearing for the triple tree $ .28 x1
cable tie for battery
cable tie rear brake fluid resevoir
valve's adjust mine were in range at 850 miles

I would recommend this motorcycle to anyone who wants to enjoy fun rides on country roads , dirt roads, trials. I have a motorcycle I can blast through the woods on and ride hard. I do not recommend the GY 200 that I own for hard riding or racing. So do your research if you are looking at buying a chinese dual sport because there are many choices. Most of all have fun ride.

Nice machines. Is your TT-R a 225?

no it's a 90 weld

You fooled me with the big wheel version. My friend had a small wheel TT-R 90, and it was an excellent bike. The small wheeled version is what many children's China bikes are patterned after.

I'm hoping to convert my X-motos/Gio 250cc over to street legal.
Hopefully someone on the forum can shed some light on the subject.
In states out west like California it's said to be really easy to get the inspection and conversion title but, I'm in the midwest!

Have you investigated the rules in your State? Several States allow DS conversions.
