Lifan 200cc carb jetting

I have the Lifan 200cc in the XR200 frame with stock carb but with the pod air filter. Yes I know it would be easier to just use the kick starter but the whole reason I got this engine was for the electric start so using the stock air filter and air box are not an option. What jet, needle and fuel screw settings do I need to start at, nothing seems to work.

My Lifan 200 with a PZ30 carb uses:
Main jet 108
Pilot jet 40
Clip in middle slot

This is with a foam pod filter.

From everything I have seen, the jetting between the 200 and 229cc motors is almost the same. This reinforces that.

On my old XT200GY, I had my PZ30 carb dialed in at:
#110 main
#40 pilot
1-2/3 turns out on the mixture screw
Needle clip one below middle

I have a K&N style pod filter... living at 2200ft altitude.

Cheers!

Thank you, this was very helpful. I used #40 pilot, #110 main, needle in middle, runs great. I made some really dumb mistakes which is why I was having so much trouble. The biggest mistake was when I wasnt getting the results I expected I just assumed I didnt need to go over the simple things like making sure there was enough gas and the exhaust header was properly secured. Felt really dumb when I realized those were my two biggest problems. ♂️ But knowing where to at least start with the jetting was a great help and I had a really hard time finding any info about that online. And all the "just use the kickstart and stock air filter, it's super easy to kick unless you are a pussy" comments were not helpful. (Other forums, not here)
Thanks again.

We work hard to not allow anyone to flame you here. We want everyone to feel comfortable asking questions; we all started somewhere.
Will the stock airbox not work because the starter interferes with the housing? Depending on the model year of your XR200, you might be able to fit the stock box by using an XR intake tube. Just spitballing.

My comment on your other thread was only based on the fact that I find deleting the airbox for any reason to be bad (it generally reduces power/efficiency), it wasn't to imply that you are weak if you don't kickstart your bike.
