Still no capability for a remote microphone either wired or wireless. There must be a specific reason for it because it seems like such a simple thing to implement and its the most requested feature on all these GoPro style cams.

I bought a similar one about 2 years ago. it has worked pretty well so far. the only negative I have about mine is that it will only record while on battery. I can not plug it into my cigarette lighter and record. it is charge-only at that time.

thats easy enough to mod if really desired... crack it open, desolder the internal mic, solder a whip with a jack on the end. add a hole in the case and silicone it.... or do like most of the motovloggers and run seperate audio and video capture. then sync in the "cutting room"

so got it a day ago... it is exactly what it is...LOL a $20 waterproof cam... picture quality leaves a lot to be desired.... a 12mp picture looks about like a 4mp.... however the colors are pretty well spot on and not really washed out... as for vid, i need to play with it a bit more before i can say the quality, as i havent had a chance to capture much video...

bogieboy 11-18-2016 09:46 PM

oh also.....took me about 20 tried s to find the app that's compatible with the csm for the wifi remote/transfer.... if you get this model, you need to search for WIFI SDV (in the play store for android)

Weldangrind 11-19-2016 02:04 PM

I hope the video will be worthwhile.

I await the video release.

if you are looking for a cheap gopro style camera i highly recommend an authentic SjCam 4000. Here's my youtube link. My 3 build videos were recorded with this camera. The quick release video was recorded with a dslr.

I have a GoPro and I can't get a quality video once it goes to You Tube. I'm sure it's pilot error somehow. I need to find the patience to see what I'm not doing correctly.

not sure what software you use but if the resolution is correct, you probably need to increase the bitrate setting when exporting the video
