Old GY200 Help with wiring harness
Edit: Figured out the model. I updated the title.
Hello all. Recently decided to pick up a project bike. Just by googling, seems its a 200GY. Engine stamp says HS163FML which led me here. Going to strip all the broken lights, gauges etc. Needing to figure out what basic pitbike wiring harness I can use on this. The cdi was missing on this and the plug cut off. I included a pic of the stator wires if that helps. This original harness is hacked up. Does anyone know if this would be the correct harness shown HERE? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks http://i.imgur.com/cTZLUaQl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bdZ9ELnl.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/4QmPRiRl.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/wvEE4qjl.jpg The wide plug is coming form the stator. What is this green plug? |
Judging by the head it looks like a 250 more than the 200. And it looks newer than the frame. That rear brake caliper mount seems rather unique. Possibly a Frankenstein build? I don't know what the other frames and gas tanks look like naked so I'm not much more help unfortunately.

The engine number indicates it's a CG200 and the frame looks like my old 2007 Lifan 200. The HS in the engine number indicates it was made by Hensim? Back in 2007 many similar bikes were imported and sold as Lifan 200s or generic GY200s. My Lifan had a 6 pin AC CDI but not the same as a GY6 CDI. The wiring harness for a horizontal engine pit bike will not work.

Thanks for the info!
If anyone can point me in the direction of a compatible complete wiring setup I would greatly appreciate it. |

Hensim and HiBird were also two of the first companies to bring in dual-sports that were over 200cc to the US market (offered as '250'). The only other company that had bikes offered as '250' was Asiawing which seemed to be a one container special. |

I ordered a couple wiring kits, hopefully I can figure it out. If anyone has any info id greatly appreciate the help.
Gonna need cleaned up. http://i.imgur.com/Fntgc3sl.jpg Clutch side seems OK http://i.imgur.com/kqwUZpnl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NheFtBwl.jpg Found seals and gaskets for it. I would like to see this baby rip again. |
Thanks for the help. Still learning.
