North Carolina Once More

I make this trip 5 or 6 times from May to October.

Not in Florida anymore....it's about a 10 hour drive.

Cabin in the mountains:

And a welcoming committee:

Much more fun than riding FL.

Don't bring them scorpions up here! :grr:

:lmao:

Western NC is where I stay. I run the BRP and the forest service roads around the area. They are not as well grommed as some would have you think. I also roam the northern GA and eastern TN. I haven't found much good riding around my are in upstate SC.:ohno:

I'm heading up that way the end of july. going to stay at Iron Horse.

It was in the kitchen sink.

Jb, thanks for the beautiful pics as usual. Is this where you always stay in the summers? Looks wonderful.

Yes, we built the cabin 30 years ago to get away from the summer heat and humidity in Florida.

The bonus is that it's an hour's ride from the Cherohala Skyway, Deal's Gap, and dozens of foerest service roads.

I've never seen one in 40 years of traveling around WNC, but I have seen dozens around FLA and southern GA. I'm not saying they're not in NC. I just haven't seen them. I guess there's a lot more hiding areas around NC.

The reason I asked is because it looked like a resort rental or something. It's upkeep is just like the owners motorcycles.

We have the light tan colored small scorpions down here, but i think the cockroaches evicted them at my place.

If he was still fresh you could have fried him up on a stick
