Airbox internals info of Vader/condor 150?
Anyone has any info on the internals of the airbox used on the 150cc Grom clones with Lifan engine and PZ27 carburetor?
I want to know if they are restricted, and where. If I were to drill a hole in it, where would I want to drill it? I'd prefer before the filter (towards the rear of the bike), so that the air can still be filtered. On the other hand, if it has a restrictive tube, I want to eliminate that, so that the bike at least will get sufficient airflow. I need to see the internals, without having to take mine apart. |
Drill holes in the top of the airbox, for minimal water penetration. I would go with a bunch of 3/16" holes. You will probably have to re-jet the carb a little.

No worries.
I've just removed the box, and opened it. There is really little to no intake limitation in the airbox. It's a square box, with an air inlet at the end (towards the rear wheel), a foam filter panel in the middle, and a rubber snorkel towards the carburetor. The limiting factor in the airbox, is the rubber snorkel, since it's squeezed, and bent (not straight). I've replaced it with a pod filter. |
