UGH, I was just looking at these yesterday...

The hard bags really are a screaming good deal. I have them on my bike and my only complaint is that they did not come with removable liners. It would be nice to have a form fitting liner that I could load with my stuff and remove as a unit when I am on a trip.

I have a similar kit for my CB500X and I have about $300 in it. I bought everything new and at full price.

I have the large silver panniers and a large JCW trunk. NLA through JCW but they can be found on amazon and ebay.

This trunk is very close to mine but 6L smaller.

I started out with the JCW large trunk and two JCW medium trunks for side cases.

This link maps out my entire luggage system and break down cost. I don't think I included my Tusk panniers. I haven't mounted them yet. It will be a later winter project.

I wish Tusk made a rack for the RX3. I really like their quick-release.

Has anyone compared the Tourfella to the Tusk panniers?

The finish is not a good as the TF. But about equal build quality. I didn't really care about the finish on the tusk panniers. I plan to either paint them or apply a wrap to them.

Any of you in Washington want to go talk to this guy about making a rack for the RX3?

He's got some nice boxes being built. Check out his new vids for updates on the design.

His boxes are basic but nice. At $299, he's loosing out on the labor side, unless he's getting a really great deal on his sheet metal. I value my time at $20 per hour, when I do work. However, I own everything outright. I have no loans or mortgages to deal with. Water and power are my only overhead costs and that is less than $100 per month for both. Property taxes are nil because I live in an agricultural area. Less than $100 per year. There's no insurance companies that will cover my set up because it's not a full-blown business nor a home site. That's one of the reasons I'm so selective about what work I take in.

A little more poking around and I found this from Solobox https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfL2wrg1_FQ

I guess Joe has already talked to him!
