Tire size question

Hey guys, I'm curious why most front tires are an inch bigger. What is the reason for this and what would happen if I put all same size tires? The fronts would if course stay 3 inches thinner. Thanks

The larger the diameter, the greater the contact-patch on the ground. So, they use a narrower width on the front but make-up for the loss of contact-patch with greater diameter. On dirt bikes, the larger the diameter the better the tire rolls through rough ground/bumps.

Ok, thanks for the response, but would it be fine if the rear tires were the same height as the front tires?

Anything is possible. Just know that if you change rear wheel/tire diameter you may have clearance issues and you will change the gear ratio.

I run 23" tires front and rear on my Rhino. Works fine.

Tires

Some models of bikes and atvs have the same size tires.... manufactures choice???? but you can change them to what ever you want... it is your money... I really do not think you are going to gain much...
