Buying my first chinese bike and need advice

So Im preparing to pull the trigger on a dirtbike tonight and keep looking at all the 250-300cc bikes on the Chinese market. I'm stuck between the trailmasters and the Xpro's. Regardless, I just want a bike that's going to be a solid choice for a 250lb 6'1 rider and still has plenty of get up and go while being good quality for Chinese quality, if you know what I mean. I'm stuck between the Templar and the Trailmaster 35. Both bikes seem to be able to get the job done, but I'm still interested in the 300cc models.

Any advice?

#1
buy a Chinese bike with a carburetor. Oh EFI is great when it works, but nightmare when it does not.
#2
buy the bike you want (hp, suspension, style-dual sport or enduro)
#3
Expect to do lots of work getting it ready for riding. There is NO dealership support and everything is on YOU.

Just a headsup ;)

By the way, I love the Trailmasters specs. TM36, or even better TM38

Installing lighting and getting past State roadworthy requirements aren't that bad. DO IT!!!!!!!

thanks for replying. I'm not scared of the work so that'll be fun. I'm having a hard time finding a TM36 from a reputable company thpugh.

Motobuys?

Moto doesnt have them in stock. It looks like the TM36's are hard to find. I've located supposedly in stock at USKart and FamilyKarts that "claim" they have them in stock but im a little apprehensive.

Check out the TM38EX. I know I advised getting a carbed bike, but this 298cc bike looks amazing for $4000. It has lights, but they have a carbed version without lights. Maybe that's the one to get (TM38 standard). 6 speed 298cc liquid cooled. Same price. That might be the one to get.

Im doing some searching, is there any issues with GoKartsUSA? they claim to have all the colors in stock at the moment. Im buying 3 toys, 2 atv's and a bike. Im trying to avoid "manny stealerships" lol

No personal experience with GoKartsUSA, and haven't heard anything about them.

So i moved forward with a Templar X. Looks like a solid bike with a lot of friendly support on here and youtube. I couldnt pin down a trailmaster 36 from a reputable company and Manny claimed he didnt even know a 36 existed so he tried talking me into a 38. At that price, Id buy a Jap bike used and move on.
