South Florida routes?

Looks like I'm going to find myself in southern Florida in a few weeks, and there's about a 20% chance I may end up with 4-6hrs of me-time. For anyone that may know, would it even be worth it to rent a scooter from Fort Lauderdale in that amount of time?

I found some leisurely routes that go straight up the coast, and didn't realize the entire everglades only has a few main highways that go through it. The place I was looking at also has a Ducati Panigale V4... which after 2hrs/10k miles experience, I feel like I could handle in a comfortable environment (and giving it the same respect I gave my first/only bike when I got it), but might yeet myself into the Atlantic if I'm in a hurry to get out and get back.

Just curious of a quick opinion, if someone has one. It's a super congested area so I don't know if it'd be worth it, or if I should just rent a jet ski for the first time.

Not much time to ride to the Keys, too bad.

I think you can find the related information at speedwaygp; they have all sorts of informative and interesting articles about everything bike-related

Florida down there is not much of a joy to ride. It’s either packed with traffic or those roads into the Everglades that you were talking about. And you would probably want to Ducati for that because they are straight and flat and boring. also, the traffic does 80 on those roads so you’ll need a Ducati.

I truly hate to break it to you, but South Florida is not a fun place to ride.

getting the scooter, you could just kind of use it to go to the beach.
