Hello everyone.
First let me apologize that my first post to this group is a plea for knowledge.
Please believe me that had I not hit what I consider a point of research diminishing returns I would keep trying to find the answer my self as I did with the little Roketta 4 wheeler I picked up last year. This honestly seems like the best place to ask since many of the bread crumbs I have some across I have found on these forums.

I acquired a 2004 Maxfine MXF 150-4N after it was abandoned at some property that a friend of mine manages. I have already filed for and been granted a new title so that is not a problem. Now that I have a title I want to begin fixing it. I believe that the engine sounds sound and I believe that with some maintenance and repair it will run.

First I will start with telling you what I know and what I have found.
1) Its a 2004 QIAN Maxfine MXF 150-4N

2) It uses a 162fmj engine.

3) I have found several threads in these forums meantioning this bike but many of them are purchase questions so while providing helpful tidbits I am just not finding enough to get what I need.

4) My bike looks very much like the one in this thread

5) I also found this thread which would be really helpful since one of the resources is located in the same city I live...unfortunately it looks like its no longer a functional business.
My bike looks exactly like the one on their about page.

6) It shares designs with the Honda CG150.

I think that is about all the helpful information I have found that I am quite sure is accurate. I have other bits and pieces but I have not been able to verify the accuracy so I will not post it.

Here is what my question is.....how do I find parts for this bike?
Its looks like the Maxfine bike came and went and there dont seem to be many of them. With the 4 wheeler I picked up even though I was unable to find much for the Roketta I was able to find the same ATV in a TAO TAO model and locate parts.
Does anyone know what brands/models are the same as this bike?
Can some one point me to where I can get parts for this bike?
I seem to keep hitting dead ends.
I need for sure
1) A new Carb to inlet intake manifold
2) New Front brake master cylinder and hose. If I am going that far I would prob be better just replacing the whole assembly including the caliper.
3) A new gas Cap. I didn't have the keys so I had to disassemble the ignition and remove the pins, but the gas cap was ruined more or less when I had to drill that cylinder.
There are many other parts I know I will need but these are the ones that I discovered in the brief run through I gave it and that I feel I need to test if its worth putting more into.

You can likely find what you need on eBay, with some serious searching. Keep your search terms generic, like "dirt bike intake", and scroll through many pages. I like to filter least to most expensive, to bring some order to it.

A master cylinder is often referred to as a "brake pump".

I apologize, I am not familiar with what ohc "cm" means.
I assume that its the generic model information used?
In the links you gave they seem to be for the 125. If the 125 is the same as the 150 that helps alot.

I did try searching Ebay but with out a model cross reference it makes buying a little uncertain. It may be that I just don't know the correct generic terms to use in my search. Do you have an example?

OHC=overhead cam
CB=China designation for a Honda-clone single OHC
OHV=pushrod, rather than OHC

Humanbeing is saying that the pics you provided do not show the engine you have. It's better for you to show us your bike.

The engine is actually cloned from the Honda CG125, and many of the parts are identical up to the China 223cc version. IOW, you could literally bolt in a 223cc (known as a 250) engine in that bike, and not tell the difference externally.

The search term examples I gave you are good starts. Once you find a match, ensure that the picture on the ad is identical to what you have. If in doubt, link the ad here and ask us.

Yes, you definitely have an overhead cam (OHC) engine. :)

Lemortede, thanks for the pics! Those are good little motors, with an ability to out-rev the CG equivalent. Do you want a bigger engine, or do you prefer to work with what you have? If you found an unloved China dirt bike with either a larger CG or CB motor, you could bolt it in.

Regarding the gas tank, do you have any light fabrication experience? If so, you could take the tank to the local bike wrecker, and see if there's a plastic tank that has a similar profile and greater capacity. That would solve a bunch of issues at once, like the fuel cap and potential rust and dent issues. You might need to play with the mounts on the frame to accommodate a different tank. With any luck, you'd find a black or red plastic tank that would look good on your bike. Maybe a Honda XR tank would be close.

Right now I think I am looking to just get it running as is.
I have other bikes for my kids and was planning to use this as something that my wife can putter around on.
I have been digging around on line and think I am getting close to the parts that I am looking for. Are there any good parts sites that are in english? Has anyone ever had issues ordering from the Chinese websites (CC fraud, items not arriving etc). Are there sites to avoid?

As to the tank, I had considered swapping the tank out. I am decent with fabrication and customizing parts and I had thought about going that route.

I am getting the very distinct impression that I need to purchase a caliper to measure the parts I need to replace to find the right ones.

An inexpensive vernier caliper is a terrific investment. Grab one from HF.

I have had good luck with AliExpess buying motorcycle parts a few years back and I still buy stuff for my machine shop. Now in China many times thru out the year I just pickup what I need.
