The bike I should have kept...
Best 250 ADV bike I ever had.... Honda XR250 Tornado...
What made them so great is they use the CBR250 motor... Was just a great alround bike.. What bike do you regret selling...?? http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/...1/SSA41942.jpg http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/...1/SSA41943.jpg With a cargo side car for long week ends away... carry all yer gear plus trout rod & gun.. extra fuel... go any where.... http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/...1/SSA41774.jpg .. |

I was staring at the Honda and almost missed the beautiful scenery. Is that a true 249 250 cc? How fast? In MPH for us retarded yanks.:hehe:

the conrod has to be changed... "full engine strip" as the 300 has a 1mm bigger wrist pin... I got close to 140kmph is some where around the 85mph mark.. but our max speed limit is 100kmph... it sat on at 6000rpm... .. |
I should of kept several bikes ,my 1967 z50 ,my 1970 ct70 ,would both be near the top ,but my 1976 falta replica cz bikes are missed the most .I was almost 12 when I got the 250 and the 400 centreport from a local sponsored rider who switched brands and needed the room in a hurry .I raced those bikes for 2 years before I realized that getting less than an hour out of a clutch if I used it or not ,at $125.00 1977 money just was not worth it .The bikes both were amazing on the ice and blistering fast on the track ,but their complete lack of suspension helped pry them away from my grubby paws .I would love to have another down pipe cz racer .If anybody locates one ,I am definately interested .

Of all the bikes I ever had, the one I miss the most and should never sold was a 2001 Suz 1200cc naked bandit.

My '79 XS650S Special II.
|
Another 2 I should have kept were
Suzuki RE5.. Kawasaki S3 400 triple... dam it..I should have just kept the whole 36 of them... ... |
The Ducati Falcon 50 and the Honda Super 90.
I sometimes think about the CB500 but then I remember how horrifying it was to ride in the rain. |

Thats the Tenere 900... uses the MT 09 3 cylinder motor is a couple years away... that pic is only a concept drawing.... If it's like the Tenere 700 it won't be to far away from the finished item... looks like Honda & Yamahe have desided to build more offroad capable adv bikes.... But they won't be cheap compaired to the chinese offering... 700 Tenere being tested in a unfinished state..... http://www.google.co.nz/url?url=http...ZkmH804FYB6H2g ... |
