Waterproof Connectors
3 Attachment(s)
Well I got a chance to change out the connectors this morning to waterproof connectors. Just about every one had some form of corrosion. These make a nice clean job. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DZCG29P..._k95fDb8HATSYP

This has been on my "eventually" mods list for a while now. Those connectors and most of the ones behind the headlight are my primary targets.
|
I changed all the connectors in that area including the other two you see in the picture. The one behind the headlight all look like new. I'll end up changing those another day when I install the round LED headlight in the fall.

That's something i would like to do on mine and for 10 bucks, is quite tempting.

Thanks for the link and input Jerry! I will order a kit. I use a snappy crimper, daily, mostly all our terminals are 14 and 16 gauge, my snappy crimper might be made by knipex. Will that work or do you recommend the one in your picture? thanks!
here is the link to the snappy I use https://store.snapon.com/Crimpers-Pl...--P885609.aspx I also buy from this company for ease of delivery...has more pieces... https://www.imperialsupplies.com/fly...alog/O41/156-1 |
Just be sure the terminals can handle the current etc
IMO waterproof refit is a bit ott and I just have it all so I can repair stock and modify the original etc Each to their own :) |

Jerry, perhaps you'd consider adding this link to your signature, making it easier for others to find in the future.
