df250rts cdi location? carb mods? sprocket mods?

I recently purchased a casoli moto cdi. An I need to know where the factory cdi is located on the df250rts? If someone has photos that would be great. Also I'm thinking about changing out the air filter and carb. Ialso plan to get the hwbnde vm26 carb. Are there any recommended mods for the carb? I have a 428 chain with 17t front and 42t rear. I'm thinking about changing the front sprocket to a 18t-19t and the rear to a 32t-37t. Any input would be much appreciated. :thanks:

Yes I'm a newbie:doh:

Not sure exactly where the CDI is located on that bike but shouldn't be hard to locate a black rectangular box. Depending on year model its either under the driver seat or rear seat. 17 tooth front sprocket will probably be the largest that will fit under the sprocket cover. The bike already comes with an upgraded PZ30 pumper carb. I would just re-jet the stock carb. More than likely you will have tamperproof screws. All you need to do is cut slots in the head of the screws with a hacksaw or Dremel. Same goes for the idle mixture screw. Just drill out and remove the plug over the idle mixture screw. YouTube has a few videos out there to help you with that. Thanks to Moose with Venom Motorsports with the short video on the CDI location.

That same guy just recently created an account here. Perhaps PM him directly.
