xpro saipan 200 efi ridingat 50 mph bike stops
hello all have xpro saipan 200 (same as vitacci cash 200) Riding 50 mph with engine not overheating . bike just stops . getting fuel /getting spark but timing advanced ???
changed ecu , throttle position sensor , coil good bike has only 497 miles on it ? any help much appriciated |
Have you done a valve adjustment yet? Does it start after cooling off?

Use and monitor a fuel gauge to help diagnose when it shuts down. A bad O2 sensor or Temp sensor can shut down fuel. Try unplugging each one and see if the computer compensates to a predetermined scale like a fuel injected car would. I'm eventually going to buy another used Clash 200 so I will have extra parts.

Hi jerry thanks for help . It has less than 500 miles and wont start at all .. Clash has fuel .thank you also
It definately has timing advanced .It has spark but there is no adjustment for timing? changed ecu and throttle position sensor ? This has professional mechanics puzzled lolol |
Waiting for an answer to Jerry hawk's question about valve adjustment.
|
hi mud flap no valve adjustment but only 497 miles on bike . and not acting like valve out of adjustment . it went from running great to engine stopping and not restarting in one fell swoop .

An engine needs air, fuel, compression, spark at the right time. You say it has spark and fuel. Is the spark plug wet or dry. What is the color of the plug? Good plug like NGK or questionable brand like Torch? Air filter clogged or something blocking air flow? Will it run on starting fluid? My advice is to check the valves or check compression.

Question .... if you install a new ecu on this bike do you have to do a ecu reset ? i knew i should not get efi gy6. should have stayed with traditional carb set up
|
My valves had to be reset at under 1000 miles. They were very loose and started tapping. Never replace an ECU before checking all the basics first unless it's cheap and easy to get. I don't think this one is. If you have spark and possibly fuel do what Mudflap said.

its only 68$ the entire throttle body is only 85$. ok Valve adjustment next
|
It seems that .004" intake and .005" exhaust is commonly recommended for GY6 150 engines but I found that to be a bit loud. .06mm/.08mm (.00236"/.00315") is what is printed on one of the plates on the bike. That's what I use now and it's pretty quiet.
