Suddenly, Rick wondered whether he had left the stove on at home....better go check.

Caption Contest:

When his Ford Pinto stalled out, push starting it with his Suzuki dirtbike didn't work. He threw the wrench he was holding so hard he turned into Thor and cracked open the mountain!

That’s a Ford Pinto not a Gremlin !

My apologies! I've corrected my egregious vehicle identification violation! Please carry on!

That is a spectacular photo. He must have been looking for a wide spot to turn around, or just got out and moved the rear wheel of the dirt bike periodically while he backed up! :wtf:

That mountain did NOT want to be climbed by a 2 stroke! Heading back to Kansas...

I was on vacation with the family in Idaho when it blew. I had a GMC pickup with camper. We had about an inch of ash all around us when we got up in the morning. I had an after market air filter that I had to stop and clean periodically during the day to get down to Wyoming.

I was a punk ass 10 year old in the suburbs of SF Bay Area. We got an inch or two of ash.

Caption: Realizing his dirt bike racin' dreams just went up in ash, RickyBobby turned his Pinto around and drove straight to Talladega...and a legend was born.

We got an inch of ash here in Canada too ,and our weather patterns changed dramatically and were blamed on the eruption as well .We had almost no snow for several years for instance yet forever before that we would have 10ft. of snow or more .
Anyway ,pretty sure you guys are wrong about the picture .The eruption had not occurred yet when the picture was taken ,the pinto had the “duraspark” box shit the bed and was dead on the road ,and “2smoke the bear” came along on his Yamaha (notice there are no exposed rear shocks just the thin bars )and pushed the pinto up the hill by the back bumper ,which caused the bumper to fold ,the gas tank to rupture ,the Pinto to explode ,leaving a hell of a cloud of ash for the rest of us to deal with .

"Well, better that than the Pinto's gas tank."

Rick smiled the smile of sweet revenge, with the satisfaction of knowing that the thief, who pinched Ricks’ tool bag, didn’t notice that the tool bag was booby trapped.

Only putting that out there because my pickup got burgled Wednesday night.

I hate that for you, Cheesy. >:( That's why we left Phoenix. My work truck got broken into twice, and the Suburban and Jeep once each. The cops were just like "meh, it's what happens out here..." The casual attitude towards theft out there is beyond mind boggling...

Thanks, Em.

The stuff got nicked from the bed Wednesday night in a hotel parking lot. I didn’t notice it was gone until late last night.
I got a call this morning from that city’s P.D. saying they had a bag with my ID tag and an American bag tag on it. The guy they nailed had my bag, my Dewalt drill, and a lot of other peoples stuff that were at the same hotel in the back of his truck. According to what the P.D. told me, the guy is known to them, and said I gave him the bag and the drill. Which they saw through.

Anyway, I wasn’t planning on going back home that way, but I am now.

I got my stuff back minus a hammer, a small compressor, a VOM, and a pair of gloves. I was surprised that I got the Dewalt 20v drill back. I only had the compressor for about a month and the hammer a bit more than a week. I had that VOM, an old Archer, for almost 20 years, though. The jackass can keep the gloves, they're smeared with my blood inside from when I impaled myself with the 4mm Allen wrench.

My caption still stands, though.
