If the Ural is tough enough to be ridden across Mother Russia, it should do just fine in the States.

It meets with Mrs. C's approval.

We did about twenty miles just to get some brunch. She says it is a lot more comfortable than the Honda.

However, I had to explain this label on the inside of the tub to her.

Wow, look at that:tup:

I see you could put a 3rd terrorist on there too:p:hehe:

It might be a good idea to check the toe and alignment. Perhaps that'll help with left turns.

That is so cool, CC (Comarade Cheese).

Congratulations!

In Washington 3 wheelers need a special license endorsement. How about out by you?

That's the plan once I get the new tires on. Also the 25,000km service.

Doc-Two or three wheels makes no difference in Illannoy.

Got the rear brakes adjusted enough that it stops, slowly, with just the rear brakes. I can set the parking brake on my driveway slope and it stays there now. Also rebuilt the rear stoplight switch yesterday.

The guys across the street from where I work came by to see it and asked if I could take their Dad for a ride in the sidecar next week. He's a rider from back when British bikes ruled but he'd never been in sidecar, so I agreed.

One of my patients showed up for his appointment on (in?) his Ural Gear Up this afternoon. Cammo grey/white. Total Badazz :-) My nurse saw it in the parking lot and she loved it. She's more the cowboy F350 sorta gal.

He said it took him 3,000 miles to get used to it but likes it a lot now. Rides it 10,000 miles a year all year. 2WD. Likes to take it camping up in the Blue Mountains on the dirt roads we like to dualsport on. Says scary on off-camber stuff. That I believe that is an understatement!

My wife brought our grandson to the shop yesterday so I gave him a ride around the parking lot. I think he likes it.

My wife posted the above image on Facebook last night and not ten minutes later our niece posted a pic of her boys on the new rig they also brought home last Friday.

My nieces' husband, Tim, and I traded jabs last night about our rigs.

Tim-Mine's American made.

ME-If it was made during the AMF days, I wouldn't brag about it.

Tim-Mine's nicer looking.

Me-I'll grant you the side car is nicer looking. Does it have a trunk?

Tim-Um, no. But it's lighter.

Me-Granted. Does the tub have a windshield or a spotlight?

Tim-No. But I can go on the interstates.

Me-That's all you got where you live. Can yours back up or go off road.

Tim-No. Can we argue football instead?

Me-We're both Packer fans, that would be like yelling at a mirror. Go fight with the Bears fan you married.

Tim-Man, she hits me when I'm right.

Me-Yup, just her Aunt.:lmao:

Tim and I have done this since he started dating my niece. Whether it's guns, trucks, sports teams, what have you. Usually ended with a clink of beer bottles before they moved out to CA for his job. Miss the guy.

Weld and DR-I found a joint that has seat belts specifically for the side car and sprung for a set. A trip to Cyclegear over the weekend for some headgear and there will be some real smiles.

New shoes on the Ural today.

Mrs C. likes this rig so well that we're taking it to southern Wisconsin tomorrow to get apples. About a 130 mile round trip.
