Are you going to add one of those 80cc Happy Times engine? :D
I did one of those a years ago. Quite fun! I used a Trek bike from CL and it took about 4 hours to add the motor. The bike did about 20 MPH and worked well. Sold it for a small profit. If this is your intention, the only advise I can offer is make some vibration isolators out of an old inner tube when you mount the motor, and locktight everything. These units vibrate a ton. Also, as small as they are, they are loud, and will ring your ears after a long ride. I wore earplugs. Finally, they are dangerous! Too fast for a bike, too slow for a motorcycle. Have fun though! BTW check out the Other Stuff forum to see the results of my Lifan/XR conversion! Bill PS looking at the rack, maybe you're doing a rack mounted conversion? My motor required a wider clearance left crank to clear the engine case. How's the weather up there? |
talking about pedal bikes
I wanna do one of these. After the XF200 mods, diesel RE, and who knows.

I saw some dude on what looked like a six cell mongoose electric mountain bike. I was doing ~35 MPH (china speedo <> excuse for police FYI) and he zipped by me like I wasn't moving. Dude had a camera on his helmet, and one on the bike, so it must have been some promo thing, but man it was fast....
