tech problem

i caint seem to get the chain adjusted right. THe chain is lose the first time you check it then if you roll it a bit the chain becomes tuant even while riding. Please help

Is the chain clean and well lubed?
Axle straight (chain adjusters even on both sides)?
Can you eyeball it and make sure the sprokets are straight as well.

does it "pop" when you roll it or does it move freely just gets tight?
will it do this if you spin it with the rear wheel off the ground

When you say "roll it a bit" is that with the bike standing free or with someone on it?

If you have pictures that's a bonus, but we should be able to trouble shoot it without them.

Dirtbike

i think you may have answered my question the axel tighteners may be a bit uneven. In this bike i have an exhuast that leads from a pipe to a box "possibly a cat box" and then i finally have the end silencer. I am willing to but a new exhaust system but is it possible this very odd exhuast system is the cause of my excessive vibration and loss of power?

exhaust can impact power, but also consider these bikes are not made to be high powered racers -- what type of bike do you have?

i didnt mean it like i really was concerned just wondering if that very odd exhuast might be "corking" or limiting the overall potential of my machine. Its a jianshe flywing mx150 Brigstone knobbys, sukuki decals, acrabis handguards, and honda shifter. All that crap came of my brothers honda in which he totalled some how some way.
