JerryHawk250's Lifan KPX250
1 Attachment(s)
I figured i would start a new thread for my Lifan KPX250 instead of in someone else thread. That way everything I have done will be in one place. First thing is i promised i would wait a year before buying another bike. Well I guess I broke a promise because Venom Motorsports had to release such an awesome looking bike. :hehe: It's all Venom's and Lifan's fault for getting the bike we all wanted. Well maybe mine too. lol
Lets talk about specifications. How can you not want the KPX250. It has what all us old Hawk owners always asked for for RPS but never fully gotten. The Hawk DXL did get EFI, USD forks and a Digital Speedometer but that's about it. The Lifan KPX250 is a true 250cc engine with an OHC which more than likely may use the same cam as the Honda CRF230F but will have to verify. It makes 20 hp / 7500 rpm combined with a 6 speed transmission should be able to do 74mph with no problem. It's Fuel Injected with and ECU that can be tuned. I'm sure the KPX is tuned very lean. I'll be messing with that eventually to fine tune. It does have USD forks which should have less flex than the Hawk Standard forks. I'll be able to do a side by side comparison since I'll have both bikes. Now lets talk about the Venom Motorsports. These guy's are awesome in everyway. Always answered every question I threw at them. After sales support is even better. They took care of any issues I had no questions asked. Tech support guys have answered questions and actually sent me videos on how to correct the issue. Hats off to Shawn who is now a member on the Forum. You can now ask him direct through the forum. Venom has also been a sponsor of this forum for a long time and has kept us going. We really appreciate them. So the bike had become available On June 17,2022 so before it was even posted on the website i ordered my KPX because I know they wouldn't last long. Now it is on the website and on sale. I even used the "JERRYHAWK250" discount code and get the extra $50 off. :D https://www.venommotorsportsusa.com/...d-street-legal Service Manual https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C-W...usp=share_link Another good tread on the KPX 250 by TominMO http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=31297 Oil Filters. https://amzn.to/3tGDGTB Bark Busters. https://amzn.to/3SdRbVf Oil Cooler. https://amzn.to/3rZo4Kq Grip Covers. https://amzn.to/46FbPSl OBD2 Port adapter. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X2YWJ46...roduct_details Owners Manual https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ys...ew?usp=sharing Chain: 520Hx108 links |

So my KPX250 got shipped out yesterday and is on a R&L Carrier's Truck heading my way. The bike is coming out of there ANAHEIM, CA warehouse. I am so excited. Like a kid at Christmas. :yay:
Here's pictures of the bike being loaded on the truck That Moose sent me last night. Tracking estimates the bike arriving Monday but I think it will get here on Friday. I Hope. lol |
This is awesome! I can't wait to hear all about the KPX250. Honestly, this bike checks all the boxes for me: Lifan quality components, 6 speed tranny, a true 250 with OHC, EFI, and a digital cluster.

Looking at the parts list...
Unlike the X-Pect, the KPX actually has an oil filter. |

See if you can get some proper specs out of them. I am curious about the total suspension travel front and rear. I don't expect 12 inches like a proper off road bike, but more than 6 or 7 would be nice. That and if there is any adjustment on them

New bike of such importance, begs for a tear down and rebuild with measurements of critical components! Just sayin! NBS strong, ride hard!
|
Geez guys! Can I get the bike first and ride it. :lmao:

Everyone should kick in and we should send one up to the back road development team for teardown. |

Note the oil tube. By removing the oil tube it will make it easy to install an oil cooler. I just have to verify the banjo bolt size once I get the bike before ordering hose and fittings.
