I haven't watched this, so not sure of the quality:

Fairly good video Adam. If someone hasn't put together a scooter or motorcycle before should be very helpful. Thank you for the upload.

Very good video !

what bothers me is they lube nothing :( speedo hub/cable, clutch cable / brake lever, rearshock pivot/ swingarm bolts/axle bearings and real fork oil make a big diff in the feel of the bike and components, and hopefully adds a bunch of longevity to them as well.. i guess i should add the headset bearings too.:(

Good find on the video. I got my hawk yesterday and after finishing assembly I had an extra spring, no more now. Thanks. I think I could have assembled it faster if I would have had those gloves.

Hawk video
Thanks Adam...Video will really help on the assembly and prep. This forum is so loaded with ideas, pics, and helpful members... A complete assembly checklist would be helpful as well.

Is is a good video ... only lacks Foster Brooks doing a voice over for a truly kneeing slapping good laugh!!! :lmao:

This video, along with the caveats for proper lubrication, loctite, et cetera, is an excellent resource for Hawk owners. Thanks for sharing the good information, Adam. :)
I am adding a link to this thread in the Tech Favorites Sticky, which is permanently pinned to the top of this forum. ;) http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=5276 |
someone elsewhere commented that when they install the front wheel axle in the video they put it in backwards, it should be installed from right to left

As the wheel turns, you want the motion to loosen the bolt, which you can retighten - if you do it the other way, the bolt will tighten and potentially snap
