Check out all these trails that are off limits

the state doesn't want riders in this area. Its state trust land with no motor vehicles allowed. They didn't mention quad copters though lol/

Every case I've seen where the state closes an area to riders has ended up being developed into residential and commercial real estate a few years down the road.

Nice vid.

So, how do they catch you for riding in a closed area when it's that vast? What's the fine?

I'm in the East, so clueless about the rules out West. It looks like the $200 quad would be really handy for hunting trails around here. We have a lot of tree cover and often spend a lot of time just locating trails and connecting trails. Sometimes I've spent hours clearing fallen trees only to find the trail was a dead end just a bit farther down. It's sort'a like digging for gold, and maybe a quad copter would be like having a metal detector. ;)

Hikers and mountain bikers will squeal on you, sometimes.

Some areas use random aerial patrols.

Excellent video  Sure is beautiful. I have a white Hubsan 501s. Best bang for the buck quad out there. In GPS mode anybody can fly it. Flip it to manual mode and have some real fun. You would get dizzy watching my videos lol. I like to do too many spins and hard turns.

that's just it! I watch these videos and think man I go in circles allot! I need to send it out more to another hill. I haven't tried it on manual mode yet. I bet its way more responsive.

that's pretty much what will happen with the land. I've had some nice riding areas closed off due to new housing developments.

When In manual mode just make sure your in a large open area like in your video. It is completely different than in GPS mode. It will really test your flying skills. GPS mode is like having training wheels on a bike. lol It's very fast and responsive. Don't be scared to take it far out. I've taken mine out far enough to were I lose site of it and rely on the screen to figure out where it is at. If all else fails I just it the home switch. If it gets out of range it will automatically return home.

I just purchased a new China 4k action cam that is highly rated. My next project is to get a less expensive drone that can handle the weight of it. In fact I have two new cams coming for drones. One is a very small cube cam. I will put up a couple links.
