Picked mine up last Wed, put about 85 miles on it this weekend. I must say the quality looks better than I expected, went together great, everything was tight, AND it came with a lithium battery. Don at Advance Merchandise Company is great to deal with. The bike rides and feels great, but the EFI is just not quite right. It think it may be the idle is just too low. The bike will cut out at stops and quick throttle blips from idle will stall it. I hope this is an easy fix(anyone's help would be appreciated)!
Yes, this is my first post, so "Hello." Chris |

Thanks Bro! There is one obvious screw on the throttle body that i fiddled with but ended up putting back to factory setting as it did not change anything. Haven't looked any deeper yet. I was giving it a few miles to see what happens, but it is no better at 85 miles.

Could it be something as simple as choke? Is there a choke with efi?
|
dose it have a dialog setting/display in the panel
where you can make adjustments to the injection settings... most yamaha's do... but there is no mention of it in the manuals shop mechanics are ment to be the only ones that know about it and how to access it... Yamaha.... with the key off.... hold both buttons down while you turn the key on... keep holding the buttons down till the dialog screen comes up... try it.... you never know.. there maybe one.... |

All of the same questions and thoughts I have as well. I don't think it is as simple as turning a limit screw. It reacts fine when cruising and then giving throttle. It reacts not so great from low rpms, like if you let the engine slow you all the way down in say 2nd gear to turn in a cul-d sac it gets overly jerky without ever touching the throttle to start accelerating. Way different than any carbed bike I have ridden. |
