Hi yall, I might have a bike phase

So here it is, I stumbled on a YT vid about an Amazon bike. Few days of watching and research and I am looking at a Hawk 250 with EFI. Don't own a bike, but have friends who do. Don't want a crazy fast street bike because I will probably kill myself in it. Hawk looks pretty good to hit some trails and stuff. Dont want to deal with a carb so EFI it is. Will have to learn manual but better to do that on a cheap bike than some super sport. What is everyones suggestion? As for wrenching, I know cars but never messed with bikes.

Go for it. These bike are as simple as it gets. If you have any mechanical skill you can work on these bikes. If there's anything you can't figure out we have plenty of people on here that are more than willing to help.

Heh, on one side I am like 2k? can I really spend that much for something that I will probably use once in a while? On the other side, I spent more than that on an peformance intercooler and intakes for my car...

Welcome to here! Don't rule out the Lifan X-Pect 200 as it is also fuel-injected and Lifan has a slightly better reputation overall in the grand scheme of things in the Chinese bike world. There are those who will argue with me, but Lifan has been around since, well, the beginning of this forum, and was in fact instrumental in this site coming to being back in 2006. No, the bike involved was not fuel-injected back then, but the engine was pretty much the same venerable 200 that is seen in the X-Pect. Watch some videos on YouTube about the X-Pect and research the posts. BUT, all that being said, the Hawk DLX is proving itself as well (both the DLX and X-Pect are fairly new). The carbed Hawk has been around several years and members here have sorted that bike out 100 ways to mars in the past few years. But, prices being about equal, the advantage of the DLX is the dual-disc brakes and upside-down forks among other things.
