Piaggio forms alliance with Foton (Chinese Co.)
 

Piaggio of Italy has forged an alliance with Chinese company Foton for development of light Commercial vehicles. So what?

-Piaggio may begin to have their engines manufactured in China. That could work well, if Piaggio can offer less expensive scooters and China can gain expertise in the Piaggio quality control system.

-We could also see some ATVs from Piaggio in the US.

I guess they both are fond of those 3-wheel pickups (tao-tao?). I know Piaggio are, so that could be interesting too.
