Turn signals

mine stopped working completely, any ideas on where to check first ?

Check the fuse, flasher, and connections. ;)

Not sure on your bike, but it is common practice to hide all this stuff under the seat next or near to the battery. Sometimes under the fuel tank, but not always.

So, remove the seat and find the battery. Hopefully near it you will see an in-line fuse or a set of fuses in a little holder. The "flasher" will be the relay that makes your indicators go on and off. It is usually about 1 inch square or 1 inch round tube. Vibration can cause fuses to blow or relays to unseat themselves, so as Spudrider suggested, gently push and pull connections to make sure they are seated properly.

Go to a supermarket and buy a cheap voltmeter / test meter. A few dollars. This can be used to check that 12v is getting to the bulb or as a tester to see if fuses are blown or not. Can save you loads of time troubleshooting silly issues.

Good luck!

Jeff

Yes, you definitely need a digital multimeter if you are going to troubleshoot electrical problems on your motorcycle. ;) This meter from Harbor Freight (HF) is sufficient for most electrical work on your bike.

You can frequently find a coupon from HF which will get you that meter for free.

Love my Harbor Freight meter. It has fixed electrical on cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles. I paid full price for mine. $3.99 I believe. LOL

Does u clicked some mystery switch that's for the "hazard"? If not, left (orange) & right (sky blue) may jammed together somewhere accidentally (PITA to find it 1 by 1 ) .

Remove the dash indicator bulb or use "diode kit". Those parts can easily found via some F***ed PCB if had soldering iron ...

The dash indicator doesn't light up at all by the way is that proof of a wording issue ?

Edit: cut out the indicator lights works now, thx!
