Adjusting Idle on an RX3?

I have a 2018 RX3 I bought a couple of months ago.
I seem to recall when I first bought it, idle was around 1500 RPM.

Unfortunately it had gotten damaged in transit, so I had to swap out the handlebar. In the process, the amount of throttle play diminished, but I was able to adjust that back (at the throttle itself, in a manner documented in the service manual).

Now it idles at about 1800ish RPM, but seems in the neighborhood of what the manual suggests in the specs, and about where it was when "new".

When I take the bike off the kickstand however (while still in neutral), the RPMs jump to ~3000 RPM. I have seen some chatter online of "power cycling" i.e. disconnecting the battery to reinitialize the EFI system, and that is my next step, as is puzzling through the troubleshooting workflow, but I was wondering if anyone here had any thoughts on things to try......or whether that is expected behavior.

Thanks!

Think you have a cable issue?!
The stepper controls air by pass for idle

Also you reset ecu by turn on then off 5 times very quick then leave of for 15 seconds

I think the idle spec on these is about 1700....which is ridiculous but that's what it is. I figure it has to do with EPA and CARB. Both our RX3's idle around 1700-1750.

Regarding your jumping idle off the sidestand, no idea.

I think mine idles at about the same rpm.

I second NzBrakelathes suggestion, I think you misrouted the throttle cable when you swapped out the handle bars. Double check your routing and I think you will find the problem.
