new TBR7 kickstand question

1 Attachment(s)
Had my TBR7 delivered yesterday. I choose to have it assembled. arrived on smashed pallet on top of a smaller pallet kickstand through the slats...
Surprised bike doesn't have alot of damage though i Have not taken it for a ride yet. Just changed oil and started it.
I attached a photo (hopefully attaching it worked) Just trying to determine if it got bent or is as it should be. Seems to be alittle far out.

Thanks,

Have you checked the chain tension? Maybe its just me but in that photo it looks a bit tight.

Mine sticks out far as well( https://mymotorcycleblog.com/tbr7-kickstand-assembly/ ), real problem is how long it is, even with forks fully extended.

Have fun!

Ya cut a 1 1/2 inches off mine, now alls good

Mine is a hair longer than necessary on pavement, but it's pretty good for gravel, because it kinda settles into it. I will say, the spring is weaker than the other Chinese bikes I have had, and from personal experience, I can tell you that the weak spring, and the fact that it stands pretty much straight up, the bike may roll forward enough to let the kickstand fold up enough to let the bike fall. It happened to me in the driveway. I had the bike started, and was putting on my jacket when I seen it tipping. I got a hand on it, but it still fell over. The good news is that it only just barely scuffed the little extension on the end of the right hand grip, and now my gas gauge is more accurate than it was.

Same thing happened to me, but I smashed the clutch lever. I was able to ride home, but I do no like the stock kickstand, and have not found a suitable replacement yet.

Just shorten it, cut it off and weld back together. Think i put a bolt inside of it then weld it back together

I bet it would be easy to make an adjustable one without any real added weight, kinda like the tie rod ends used to adjust.
