TT250: Relocating the rear brake fluid reservoir

2 Attachment(s)
Today's rainy day 2018 TT250 mod was relocating the rear brake fluid reservoir. I have no idea why the manufacturer decided to put the rear brake fluid reservoir right next to the carb and above the motor, but it was a really crappy spot. I relocated the reservoir behind the right side panel right above the rear brake master cylinder. Even though the reservoir is a bit closer to the rear exhaust, at least it's out in the air flow. In the factory spot it sat behind the engine with very little air flow around it.

Overall it's much cleaner, much less hose to deal with, and I can now access the choke without obstruction. There is also room to shorten the main fuel line a bit too. It was SUPER long from the factory to make it around the OEM mess. I'm glad I relocated it.

Once I take it for a spin to confirm all is well I will re-make the bracket in a better material and paint it. I just wanted to make sure this worked well before I went any further.

pretty sure any position higher than the piston is ok.

That mod. is on my bucket list for sure. Not until I get all my other more urgent projects completed. Thanks for posting that mod. Let us know if for some reason the exhaust heats up the brake res. too much. It looks ok in the pictures.

nice bike btw.

Nice fix. You need to be a Proctologist to access the choke.

Can you take a photo of the Hawk's bracket? I'm curious what it looks like.
