TT250 Fender Eliminated
Hey all, long time since I've been active on here, I have a 2016 TT250 and have recently been revamping it and putting some new parts on to get it back on the road/trails, as I have not been riding much over the last couple years.
After 7 years I finally had enough of the ugly rear fender and decided to get a kit and adapt it to fit the bike. Just wanted to share what I did, in case it helps anyone else. (minor metal fabrication involved). -Ordered DRC Edge 2 taillight setup for the CRF250L - I liked the look of this one, and even though not a direct fit, figured I could make it work http://www.drcproducts.com/elect/d45...ndex_crfl.html -Cut, drilled and welded steel brackets to the rear of the frame to match the bolt pattern on the edge 2 bracket -painted flat black to match the frame -Spliced in pigtail from stock brake light -put everything back together, voila. Kept the stock turn signals for now, as I like how visible they are, but may end up doing more compact ones at some point https://i.imgur.com/a3038q2.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Q40rhRU.jpg https://i.imgur.com/E0PoaZ8.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/fQl7KRN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HLnu0Um.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/jWYG6oA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/n1J3hZ1.jpg |
Welcome back! That looks much better.
