Can anyone please tell me what is the correct CDI unit needed for a 2008 gy-5 200cc. I will post a link to one I am thinking about buying. Is there a way someone can tell me if it is one that will work? or even the second link. I chose these because of faster shipping but if they are not the correct one then I can look into the ones from china.

I don't know which CDI unit will work for you, Danny. However, I moved your thread over to the Dual Sport Forum so you would get more exposure, and better replies to your question. ;)

Both aren't correct for OHC Lifan GY-5. Your links are for "push rod" aka CG series by chinese.
The correct one looks like these http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10175608291 . Some GY6 scooter CDI 's curve are suitable for these vertical engine.

I have three different ones that should fit your bike, One POSH performance CDI one stock, and and one off of a trx300ex. Ill give all of them to you for $10 shipping included if you do a writeup on the differences between them for everyone one else on the forum.
