Tools needed for Hawk assembly and maintenance
This is going to be my 1st bike since I had YZ125 as a kid. What all tools do I need to assemble and keep the bike running?
|
For assembly everything from an 8mm to a 16mm.
|
aren't the axle bolt 17mm/19mm? The other thing you will want is lots of loctite.
|
You have to lose that attitude before I will help you. I'm just being honest and I have read your other posts.
Good luck with your Hawk 250, it is a pretty good bike. |
17mm for rear axle bolt and 19mm for the nut.

Thanks, sorry about my attitude on the CSC tt250. Honestly, just aggravated its out of my price range. It would be nice to have that counter balanced engine and being assembled but the hawk looks like it will do. Hell, $1350 shipped, you can't beat it. I'm nervous about assembly but I will learn a lot doing it.

These motorcycles can be maintained with pretty basic tools. I often just grab what is in reach rather than the "correct" specific tool, example would be a large crescent wrench rather than the correct socket for say wheel removal. Even though i have a garage full of tools, I have found myself on occasion using the cheap wrenches and screwdriver that came with the Hawk's tool set, like I said I grab whatever my eyes and hands land on first, this aint no Ferrari. That being said you can pretty much get by with a hammer, pliers and a couple of screwdrivers I kid. :) |

I'm a nice guy and my bike is red, not kind of orange. I stole a shirt from @Andrew93 to prove it. He painted his green bike orange to make it faster.

I was talking about the Brozz on the video from Power Riders Outlet web page. Its orange but they only list red, blue, black, and green??? I like it in orange anyways and your bike looks good too man!
