Baja 3/19-3/26
I was wondering if anyone here was signed up
For CSC's Baja run in March. I am but haven't decided whether I'm riding To California or trailering. |
Both Rojo_Grande and I are signed up.

Looks like both you and Rojo are in Parker,Colorado(suburb of Denver?)
Are ya'll riding or trailering to S.California ? |
Trailering bikes to CA. The mountain passes along I-70 and the weather/snow are iffy in late March. We could go along a more Southern route but that adds more than half a day to the ride/travel time each way and still have no assurances for weather.
If you are going across on I-10 you shouldn't have any snow issues. 3Banger road from Fruita, Colorado and back last year. ~5,000 total miles. |
I am signed up and I am going to trailer down from Seattle. I am actually here now for a Death Valley ride. Was at CSC yesterday and picked up a new seat and a few other small things.

I am planning to go from Walla Walla. In Pickup down to Azusa, then ride Baja, maybe see the USS Midway in San Diego and maybe the Brea Tar pits, bucket list items. Really looking forward to meeting you guys and riding with all of you.

Rob, the USS Midway is awesome, as are the Tar Pits. Regarding the Midway... http://www.motorcycleclassics.com/cl...m-zmkz15jfzbla I'm sure most/all of you have seen the video from last year, but just in case.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WZk9WoFdGI&t=1s We are capacity for the 2017 ride and we're not taking any more riders, but if you want to get on the list in case someone drops out before we start, shoot an email to me at CSC. These adventure rides are becoming popular; my advice would be to sign up for the 2018 ride now if you want to reserve a spot. |

Having done both the 2016 RX3 March ride and the TT250 October ride I guarantee you guys will have a great time.
Joe B. I hope you'll be able to tweak the route on a future ride to include some dirt roads. I'd be happy to ride with my fellow CSC riders again, but I prefer new roads and destinations. Cheers, Dan K. |

So many rides, so little time... My good buddy Welker has a place in Bahia de Los Angeles and we could do a ride through Tecate, San Felipe, Coco's Corner, and on down to the bay of LA. Would involve some dirt and some awesome scenery along the Sea of Cortez south of where we were on the most recent TT250 ride. Probably involve pseudo-camping and sleeping on the roof at Welker's place if I can talk him into allowing us to stay there. He's pretty easy to talk into things, though, so I think that won't be a problem. If we time it so there's no moon, the stargazing from BdeLA is incredible (no light pollution). Hmmm...I think I just talked myself into something. Keep an eye on the blog. |

What's the schedule? I would love to drive from Yuma to San Felipe to meet up with you guys for the afternoon when you guys are there, for dinner and beer. I am guessing you guys will spend the night? The Baja 250 is the last weekend in March, so I am sure you won't be riding to San Felipe THAT time of year, unless you have connections for a group your size?!

Well now i went and done it. I copied a map of Baja and put it into the tank bag on Donkey Ohty. It was suppose to be a surprise kinda like a 2 year birthday present since I bought him. So now my RX3s asking all sorts of questions like "wheres baja? is that our next trip,? when do we start? can I drive? Hows the gas? anybody else going? Are we there yet? etc. ? Me and my big .............. tank bag. Oh well, no getting out of it now. :yay: rj
