Hi from the Netherlands - Orion Apollo RX 250, with some mods -
Hi there,
A small :hi: from the Netherlands! I drive a slightly modified GSXR Srad and just have bought an Apollo (Orion) RX 250. Some pics; SRAD https://i.imgur.com/5Zr356K.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0p6s2Go.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8anJaA4.jpg RX 250 https://i.imgur.com/YoHTnhf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TljfNNe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lKBuoIj.jpg https://i.imgur.com/deyrLmL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8M8XZEZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/C6H4Kr3.jpg Mods so far (and not shown on the pictures, I will take some new pictures soon! ) -Mikuni clone VM26 (with jetsize 115 and 30) -Cat removed full stainless exhaust -520 chain -52T CRF rear sprocket -13T CB 250 front sprocket -Acerbis fork socks -Race CDI -ditched the watercooled engine and mounted an aircooled engine And now it's a real offroad beast! :yay: |
Nice pair of bikes. Nice job on the SRAD. I don't see too many of those running around my neck of the woods these days. I am digging that leather tank cover.

I used to see videos from Europe of the street-legal Apollos with the 17/17 wheel setup; I like the knobby tire setup you have, and obviously as shown in your photo better for the dirt!
They only sell off-road versions of the Apollo in N. America (I am including Canada which I believe have this bike), which is a shame, but those who buy them for mild off-roading love their bikes. |
Slightly?! Do you plan on modifying it "heavily" :D :D :D

Some pictures of my small mods:
Lithium battery, with the Race CDI on top (not the nicest way of building this in but hey, it works https://i.imgur.com/U1XvXvk.jpg CB front sprocket https://i.imgur.com/Ur7GiM8.jpg CRF rear sprocket (fits almost directly, only need to drill out the holes of the sprocket) https://i.imgur.com/Tz1jFdb.jpg 520 Gold chain, full stainless steel exhaust, 'lost' my side stand (:hehe:) https://i.imgur.com/DDG129M.jpg Mikuni clone carbie https://i.imgur.com/Vqxp6ev.jpg Acerbis fork boots https://i.imgur.com/Ioz8j38.jpg Ditched the watercooler and rads (after 50kms) https://i.imgur.com/ub8Jdei.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Vgc4ISV.jpg And mounted a oldskool aircooled Zongshen https://i.imgur.com/CeudTT4.jpg Led lights https://i.imgur.com/cjdX1ch.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wgWTB1m.jpg |
I never really looked at the Apollo because it's not street legal here but I must say the angles on that bike look great! I wish we had that option now.

Hoi Chineeske.
Groetjes Jesse. |
Nice bikes, I'm curious why you ditched the water cooled engine so soon. We're there no air cooled options like the Hawk or a similar bike available? Do you have any plans for your water cooled engine?
