Dc powered cdi question!! Help would be appreciated

Working on a Eton cxl 150
No spark condition
I Have 12.4 to dc cdi and the 12v switched is wired to the brake light switch circuit as oem route. I have 11.6 v because of voltage drop through the bulb (load)
Trigger pickup resistance - 141k ohms and .7 ac v
Exciter coil resistance - 331k ohms and 72 ac v

Do these dc cdis need exactly 12v or higher on switched circuit to fire?
Or am I missing something here?

 That vehicle = An orphan from Taiwan. Thx to the similarities btw GY6 copies, we can find some parts in reasonable price.
Typical chinese dc-CDI works btw 8-16V & outputs around 200V
Don't u measured coil's primary / secondary ohm reading? Spark plug still in OK condition? ... https://get2itparts.com/etontech/PD_CXL150.php
AC reading (although seems OK this time) is useless. Build a Peak Voltage Adapter https://forum.jorsindo.com/forum.php...authorid=86716
GY6 should be something similar to: (don't need to measure Exciter coil when using DC-cdi)

Yes I am aware that this atv is an orphan haha. So both of my ignition coils primary resistance measures in spec and secondary measures in spec. I have multiple new spark plugs cr7hsa gapped per service manual spec. I dont have the exciter coil hooked up to anything but I can hot wire to an ac cdi and the bike will run but I was trying to maintain the stock setup with a dc cdi. If i test the coil positive wire coming from the cdi I should be getting somewhere around 200 ac volts?

I have 0.7 ac volts on trigger wire going into cdi
I have 0.52 ac volts going out to ignition coil.....
I have 2 identical vmc chinese dc cdis both are giving me the same output

obviously the cdi is the source of problem as I can verify I have 12 v constant , 12v switched and 2 grounds, followed by trigger at 0.7ac v but i have the coil positive at 0.52 ac v

removed 12 volt switched wire AT THE CDI left it connected everywhere else and cdi gives normal ac v output and bike runs

woohoo hope this helps someone in the future.

Buy 07HGJ-0020100 or equivalent | Homebrew: https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic...ltage-adapter/
& measures it in dc.
The Taiwan url above shows big 4's shop manual picture, ALL measured in dc via peak voltage adapter :D

power probe 4 my friend... very good investment

https://otomodif97.wordpress.com/201...-kekuranganya/ had schematic of typical Hondaish 6-pin CDi

AC lies. DC dies. No. Wait a minute...
