Hi there! Converting CG125 to 250

Hi there guys, been a lurker for quite some time but decided to make an account and get stuck in. I've got a 1996 CG125T that I've used as a runner for the as couple of years but as I've been moving onto different bikes I thought I might as well have a bit of fun and see if I can get a bigger engine in it and maybe something more.

I've seen Zongshen and a couple of other brands and a big bore kit for 250cc but trying to figure out what won't blow up 10 miles into a trip.

I've got a 1995 nighthawk that runs well but I don't really use but I doubt the engine would fit in there.

Where can I find this Hawk 250 engine everyone talks about and is it as simple as a bolt on?

Either way great to finally say hello!

125 to 150 is a big bore.
125 to 200 is crank and big bore
no 250 option as studs are in different location max 200

Hello, best of luck with that! If you decide to go the 200 route, you'll also need longer pushrods and studs.

A complete engine swap would be less painful. A few options. https://shop.brozz250.com/eshopprod_...e_Assembly.htm
