Stiff shift lever on Apollo db-36 2019

After a long ride when I come back home and try to switch it into neutral from first the shift lever is very hard to click up. I have a an Apollo DB-36 2019 & I'm a newbie. Also, for some reason after I ride a bit and make a complete stop with the clutch held in the bikes tends to wanna die. What seem to be my problems any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

The clutch is dragging once it get hot. You need to adjust the free play in the clutch lever. You want minimal free play, about 1/8" .

So you're saying by adjusting my clutch lever on my handlebar by a minimum of 1/8th of an inch will correct the stiff gear selector & the turn off when i come to a complete stop from riding?

You need more freeplay. Just Google how to adjust a motorcycle cable clutch.

I adjusted the free play just now. Went riding and now at complete stops, after riding for a bit, the bike creeps forward with the clutch lever pulled in all the way.

Adjust it a little more

I adjusted it more but now feel like its hard to upshift & downshift & cuts off at complete stop. This is very frustrating.

Sounds like you giving it more free play. Even though this is for a TT250. The adjustment procedure is the same. https://www.cscmotorcycles.com/check...and-adjustment

I got it adjusted to my liking but every so often I gotta adjust it on the handle bar lever
