Tbr7- tt 250 header pipe swap?
I saw a parts list of the tt 250 exhaust, it doesn't have the bulge for a cat that the tbr7- HAWK, and others have. Does it fit? Has anyone tried it? If it does it seems like a better option than gutting the stock pipe, it's 25-30$.I want to get rid of the CAT on my bike, but I'm not looking forward to cutting and pounding it out, plus I don't have a welder, I also heard that the EBAY exhaust kits are noticeably louder, I'm trying to avoid that

The header pipe to muffler connection is different. You can buy just the header pipe and use with the stock muffler or any other slip-on muffler you choose. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CM45V1H...v_ov_lig_dp_it

Aftermarket header exhaust pipe for the TBR7 will require modification to fit and muffler tape and they will wake up the neighbors a bit.
Its part of changing over to the "dark side", accept the mods, tape and noise and you'll be fine. It is for those same reasons that I kept mine stock , or in my opinion, go the route Jerry went and gut the stock pipe for perfect fitment. |
Hi king, hi all. I contacted. C.S.C. about the pipe and they said no, it wouldn't fit any other bike, kinda sounded like I was not the first to ask. If it did work they would sell many, many of these. ( think of all the people who went through the process of cutting there stock one!) I may still decat mine someday, I want the bike to look and SOUND like stock, so if I do decat, ill still keep the muffler, but that will still plug up the exhaust. I've read that there is an old saying about exhaust, SMALL, POWERFUL, QUIET you can have 2 of the 3, but not all! Anyway the bike is running the strongest it has ever been with no air box lid and a jet "marked" 125. Plug still ashy grey, I have found a pilot jet kit and I ordered that from China, should be here next year sometime! I also added a digital volt meter, mounted it in a 35mm film container, and stuck it on the instrument cluster on the right side, looks GOOD. 8$ why not.

I would keep the stock setup. The biggest regret I have on the bike is the exhaust.

Hi browser, hi all, I'm thinking the same, keep the stock exhaust for now. It will probably rust out In 2 years anyway. If I still have the bike ill spring for the aftermarket exhaust, probably less expensive then stock replacement. I may have to sell it if I move, which will be probably out of state, don't know yet. One thing is if I move it won't be from long island to long island!

Can anybody confirm that the TT250 header fits the exhaust port of a TBR7 ?..
It doesn’t matter if it fits anywhere else just the port. |
