Hawk 250 Skid Plate
I've searched the forums and saw a few fabricated skid plates but really don't have the shop to build. I also saw the tt250 might be a good fit?
Anyone have any better ideas for skid plates? JerryHawk250 are you still selling them, or the stands? |
My new tbr7d came with one so I’d assume you can get one for your hawk
|
This is on my list of priorities and I know the new TBR7's are shipping with skid plates but I'm not sure where to find one.....I'll confess I haven't looked all that hard yet.

I found this one on Aliexpress, just search 'motorcycle skid plate' in their search-box and they have a bunch more.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...40bb5e2e2242-4 Here's another cool one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...%2316062%23661 Here it is for ya: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...cle+skid+plate Just a word to the wise, when you find something that you like on Aliexpress, click on it then scroll to the bottom where they offer other products and sometimes you will find the same product for alot less $$'s! That's how I found the skid-plate on the next post, it was originally $24 and I got it for $15! |
Since you had to bring up skid-plates...I went ahead and bought this one for my BSR 250 for ~$15 and ~$12 shipping:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...%2316062%23661
Here is the same one, but this one has a pic of it mounted on a bike: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...%2316062%23661 |
This one from CSC Motorcycles looks promising. Not sure about the fit. https://cscmotorcycles.com/skid-plat...re-fits-tt250/

Do you have this already or are you still waiting on it to come slow boat from China? I'm just curious how it fits up, it doesn't look to me like it would without modification but I'm going off memory of the underside of my hawk so :hmm: |
Skyd, everything I have ordered from Aliexpress takes about 10-20 days but those have all been air-mail. Considering the size, this is probably on the slow-boat from China! It shipped 7/11 and still hasn't hit customs so, I'm guessing it's on a boat. I most definitely plan on having to modify "something" with it, as it was primarily designed for a KTM. Heck, Americans found 1001 uses for duck-tape, so drilling some holes shouldn't be a big deal.
|
Yeah, that's a nice burly skid-plate! Little too pricey for my needs though. $130 + shipping vs. $27...is no contest. I'm not going rock-climbing.
