I like the KLR, but really it's main advantage is the range. I like both the smaller bikes too, because they are so nimble. The KPX uses a little more than half the gas of the KLR, and while the Hawk...

Thanks for the expert advice. I just added a set of 38/17 sprockets, and shroud around the cylinder and head of my Hawk. I also filled the saddle bags with sand , which along with my 260 lb weight...

I highly recommend these KemiMoto bags show on my KPX. I don't particularly like them, and they don't look great ,but if bought right, they are so cheap that I consider them almost disposable. They...

For, me personally I would find the 42/17 just a hair high, especially since my Hawk is back to a stock motor. I weigh too much, and I think taking off from a dead stop on a hill, would be the...

I eventually put a Nibbi PE28FL on my old TBR7 after installing full exhaust, and pod filter, and had no trouble tuning it, but I had already rejetted the stock PZ30 that was on it. I was lucky...

That headlight doesn't look bad, but assuming you used gloss black paint, then buffing it with polishing compound would likely help match it to the rest of the bike. You may end up just painting...

This is a follow up to my post earlier today. The Nibbi PEZ is not a PZ30 clone, but it is made as a slightly more direct replacement for the PZ30. Basically the PE28FL, and the PEZ look the same,...

I opted for the PEZ28 when I had the hotter motor on my Hawk. I chose it over the PE28FL, because it was cheaper, AND the fact that I had a fairly new Nibbi pod filter that I was running on a PZ30...

In my opinion , a 40/17 is not going to be a very good combination for you , nor for most people. I know you changed rear tire, and it reduced your gearing a little, but a 42-43/17 is really about...
