I think the Vino will do what I want now that I have a muffler solution - provided Johnny Law doesn't think it's too loud. My biggest complaint about the Vino was always cracking the muffler weld....

Sounds like the speedo cable is catching. Try lubing the cable. Same thing happened on my truck and the lube took care of it.
