I purchased my Hawk new and didn’t have any...

I purchased my Hawk new and didn’t have any trouble getting it registered and plated here in southern OR. I also have a second Hawk and a Magician bought used and they were already plated.

You can find the torque specs in the booklet that came with your bike. Just adjusted my chain yesterday and it’s listed at 65 ft/lbs.

While you say the wheel is in the full forward position, did you loosen the chain tensioner?

I put a 17 tooth on my wife’s magician and did not need to change the chain. It’s towards the end of the adjustments but there’s still some room.

I bought my bike through powersports max out of CA. On 3 different claims, they had the parts shipped without any questions. Even sent complete assembly when it wasn’t necessary (ie. rear brakes).

As much as I like the Hawk in black, it didn’t have any depth. So, between rides I masked the plastics off and added some trim color.

Thanks Dan, looks like the msr shifter is out of stock in a lot of places so I’m going with the IMS. Time to return the stock unit to like new condition until the new shifter arrives.
