just a heads up, I tried to register my TMEC 200 and they declined my registration saying 2 numbers in the vin didnt decode. whatever that means.

I dont know if thats just a freak thing that...

I feel like you could shorten the spring on top...

I feel like you could shorten the spring on top of the slide as long as the slide closes consistently. I would order a replacement spring for your carb just in case before you do the work.

my bike took a couple days to burn off the factory paint smell off the engine.
other than that, I would say to buy an aftermarket carb that allows you to adjust it properly.
