Doh! Follow up question, anyone sell better valve...

Follow up question, anyone sell better valve springs? Broke inner intake spring and destroyed the head on the test ride. The new carb was working great though.

I would like to add, once you get the idle down then set the idle set the idle air adjustment to the highest rpm(and highest vacuum) then adjust the idle screw again.

Is this a cg engine? If so the stock springs are good for 8500 rpm. The power curve is around 7500 with a stock cam. If the cam is stock heavier springs would just use more power to open them.

All of the Texas dealers I've seen are owned by the same outfit. Would not recommend. The website says 1 year warranty, but your receipt says basically no warranty. Bought mine from TX Powersports...

Thanks Dan, do you know the oil volume off hand? Still has factory oil in it but I don't trust they have amount right. Thinking of using dex 3 because I always have 50ga of it. What do you think ?

I'm 5.9 170lbs and I took all of the preload off the rear shock to lower it enough and I still can't flat foot my hawk. You might check out the tbr7 it's basically the same bike with smaller wheels...

I finally got around to looking at the forks on the hawk. It's been a weak spot from the beginning.
I know nothing about forks but I lifted it from the handle bars and pulled the caps finding...

Oil will soak in to the pads . If you don't disconnect the brake line you shouldn't have it bleed it. Just spread the calliper and pump it back up after it's reinstalled.
