A bad ground. Or, like it or not, a bad battery. If there's a bad cell or a break inside the battery it can test as fully-charged but fail when a load is applied.

Honestly -- it'll probably run better and get better mileage with regular. Higher-octane merely delays ignition until later in the compression stroke eliminating knocking in high-compression...

Don't know the model, but the maker is Loncin. The engine, the Loncin LC166FM, is a bored-out copy of the Honda CB125, actually 229cc rather than the claimed 250. Parts can be found numerous places....

I don't know, but I do know that if you replace the Chinese-made bulb with a USA-made version of the same bulb, you will be amazed by the difference. The bulbs on these bikes are beyond lousy.

Somehow I would prefer a rider learn to actually ride the bike, rather than modify the bike to make up for their lack of skill. Managing the clutch is an essential skill, not something to avoid...

I see claims of 16-18 HP for these motors. Maybe, depending on how you measure, but run it thru sprockets, chain and wheel and I doubt you've got 12 to the ground.

For what they have, they do OK,...
