The short answer is no, you can't easily make the Beast pipe flow. It just looks pretty.
The Gio shocks topic will bring varied opinions. If you can get 'em for cheap, just enjoy them for what they are. You can get them charged up at bike shops or tire shops with nitrogen for cheap. What do your front shocks look like?
