As usual, Katflap posted excellent photographs.
I really like the bars in front of the stock luggage which provide both frontal and lateral protection for the panniers. Also, I hadn't noted the horizontal bar connecting the two mounts behind the rear fender, until Katflap posted this excellent photo.
In addition to the stock luggage, the stock pannier mounts provide excellent protection for RotoPax containers as well as soft luggage.
