Calm down, we have a nice friendly group here.
The redline for the NC250 engine must certainly be
higher than 9,000 rpms. I wouldn't trust the red numbers on the tachometer.
I believe the engine in the Yamaha TW200 has a redline of 10,000 rpms, and the NC250 engine is certainly designed to rev higher.
I also got an indicated top speed of 88 mph with the stock, 14T/44T sprocket combination. I didn't note the engine rpms at the time.
