I zip tied the wire from the A1 connector along the main wiring harness to the front of the motorcycle. The evening before the installation, I fabricated the wire for a length of 4.5 feet. This wire was about 1.5 feet too long, so I would recommend a length of 3.5 feet for future installations.

I coiled the excess wire inside the frame. I exited the two female plugs outside the frame, on the left side of the motorcycle. You can see the routing of this red/black wire in the next two photographs, which I took during my heated grip installation.
