Lemortede, thanks for the pics! Those are good little motors, with an ability to out-rev the CG equivalent. Do you want a bigger engine, or do you prefer to work with what you have? If you found an unloved China dirt bike with either a larger CG or CB motor, you could bolt it in.


Regarding the gas tank, do you have any light fabrication experience? If so, you could take the tank to the local bike wrecker, and see if there's a plastic tank that has a similar profile and greater capacity. That would solve a bunch of issues at once, like the fuel cap and potential rust and dent issues. You might need to play with the mounts on the frame to accommodate a different tank. With any luck, you'd find a black or red plastic tank that would look good on your bike. Maybe a Honda XR tank would be close.
